4 hours of 4K video projection for the baroque opera 'Castor & Pollux' at Palais Garnier, Paris.

When the director - Peter Sellars - opted for a minimalist stage design, video designer - Alex MacInnis - came up with a mix of footage with views of urban Los Angeles and images of outer space to illustrate this modern production of baroque opera 'Castor & Pollux'.

The projection setup - a dual stack of Barco UDX 32K projectors - fed from a single UHD output from the Watchout players was simple, but managing the 4 terabytes of ProRes4444 media, with frequent updates throughout rehearsals, kept me busy.
